A friendly parish in the middle of the suburbs!

Altar and Rosary Society

Mission: To provide and care for linens, vestments and furnishings used for Mass and other liturgical services; to perform special works as assigned by the Reverend Pastor; to pray for members who are ill or confined; and to pray the Rosary at a member’s wake to promote greater devotion to Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary; and to support other parish organizations.

Meetings: Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month with the exception of January and February when there are no meetings scheduled. Meetings begin with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel, followed by a business meeting in the Fr. Weber Center.

Activities: Sponsor a needy family at Christmastime; make charitable donations to the Nicaraguan Mission and area soup kitchens; make rosaries for shut-ins and prison inmates. A member retreat is held annually and dinner socials are held periodically throughout the year.

Who can participate: All adult Catholic women of the parish who are 18 years or older and who are devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and believe in the power of the rosary.

How to get started: Come to a meeting, call the Parish Office at 688-9143.
